The Tracks page in the sidebar is your local track database — AiM's full track list, plus anything you've imported or copied off a device. Sessions are matched to tracks from here, and sector divisions are drawn here.

Browsing

Tracks are grouped by country and searchable by name. Selecting one shows a satellite map of its shape and, alongside it:

• Info — length, location, and the short name the device uses for it.
• Segments — the sector divisions saved for this track.
• Sessions — every session in your library recorded here, with a gold star on the one with the fastest lap.

Keeping it current

• ••• → Sync Tracks from AiM Server downloads AiM's full track database and updates anything that changed since your last sync. Needs an internet connection — so do this on your normal WiFi, not the device's.
• Import Track copies .tkk or Race Studio .ztracks files in from disk.
• New Track builds one yourself — see below.
• Tracks can also be received from a connected logger — see Connecting to Your AiM Device.

Building your own track

Added in 1.5.0. If a venue isn't in AiM's database — a new circuit, a private test track, an autocross course laid out in a car park — you can build it, in AiM's own .tkk format. It's a real track like any other: it can be sent to a logger, and Race Studio reads it.

Building a track from one lap of a session

Hit New Track on the Tracks page. The shape can come from either:

• A lap of a session — pick the session, then the lap. This is usually what you want: one clean lap traces the track and nothing else, so the out-lap, the pit lane and the drive to the paddock stay out of it.
• A file — .kml, .kmb, .gpx, an existing .tkk, or any session format AimMac reads.

Then fill in the rest:
